The Garage League remains closed for business until further notice.
NHL commissioner Gary Bettman raised hopes for a full 82-game season this week. He trumpeted a new collective bargaining proposal purporting to offer a 50-50 revenue split.
Then Bettman dashed those hopes by summarily dismissing the NHL Players Association counter proposals, including one purporting to offer a 50-50 revenue split.
“It's clear we're not speaking the same language,” Bettman sniffed.
