ST. LOUIS • After testing his sore left knee and an achy left hamstring with a series of workouts and runs and stretches in right field during batting practice, Cardinals outfielder Carlos Beltran has been cleared to start Game 5 of the National League championship series.
He'll bat second and start in right field.
"Good to go," Beltran said. "I still feel it, but it's not like it was yesterday or the day before."
