Once a year, St. Louis County residents are reminded that Laumeier Sculpture Park has a strong reputation in the world of art. It is enough to draw artists from hundreds of miles away.
The 26th Annual Art Fair, set for Friday through Sunday, May 10-12, will feature 150 artists from across the country.
Laumeier Sculpture Park's reputation goes beyond national borders.
“A lot of people in St. Louis may not appreciate how well-known Laumeier is,” Special Events Manager Marie Oberkirsch said. “We had an intern who traveled to Russia a few years ago. She was wearing a Laumeier Park T-shirt. Somebody came up to her and said, 'We know about Laumeier.' We're helped by the Internet, and we have a good reputation with artists.”
