St. Louis (KSDK) -- The St. Louis Cardinals will have home field advantage for the first time in the NLCS.
The Cardinals will play the San Francisco Giants at Busch Stadium Wednesday afternoon.
The afternoon begins with the Cardinals pep rally at Ballpark Village at Clark and Broadway from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. It will include music from "Cosmic Cow" on the Budweiser stage, the Budweiser Clydesdales and appearances by Fredbird and Cardinals alumni. Fans can also get their pictures taken with the 2011 World Series Trophy.
Gates to Busch Stadium open at 1 p.m. Forty-two thousand fans will receive a rally towel courtesy of Purina.
The pre-game ceremony beings at 2:40 p.m. Former Cardinals pitcher Danny Cox will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Retired Navy Petty Officer 1st Class and national recording artist Generald Wilson will sing "God Bless America."
