KSDK: I-64 eastbound closing in downtown St. Louis, MoDOT says

St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - The Missouri Department of Transportation will close all eastbound lanes on Interstate 64 in downtown St. Louis beginning Wednesday night.

According to Andrew Gates, a MoDOT spokesman, I-64 will be closed between Jefferson Avenue and the Poplar Street Bridge so crews can remove the concrete barrier on the double-deck structure.

The eastbound lanes will be closed at 8 p.m. Wednesday. One lane will be reopened by 5:30 a.m. Thursday, along with the ramps from eastbound I-64 to 6th and 11th streets. All other lanes and ramps will reopen by 2 p.m. Thursday.
