NLCS Game 7 is a few hours away, so we might as well start getting ready for it. Here are a few things to mull over...
* Kyle Lohse goes against Matt Cain in the biggest game of the season for both teams. Lohse is the right man for the assignment. This guarantees nothing, of course. Lohse has already worked a career-high 229.1 innings this season, and labored through 5.2 innings in his Game 3 start against the Giants. Lohse didn't have much going for him in that one except for his determination to make pitches and battle his way out of jams. The Cardinals won the game 3-1, and Lohse earned the win and even more respect. That said, I wonder about the Lohse innings load,...
