Six-pack for Blues, three-peat for Elliott

ST. PAUL, Minn. • What a difference a week and a half has made.

On April 1, the Blues visited Minnesota on a three-game losing streak and sitting in the No. 9 spot in the Western Conference. The Wild had won eight of their last nine games and were tied for No. 3. On that night, goaltender Jaroslav Halak went down with a groin injury and a struggling Brian Elliott relieved him.

In their return trip to Minnesota on Thursday, the Blues were toting a five-game winning streak, while the Wild were 1-4 over the same stretch, and Elliott had resurrected himself with four straight victories, including back-to-back shutouts.
