Cards sign Ty Wigginton to two-year deal

ST. LOUIS • The Cardinals have found the veteran righthanded-hitting presence they sought for their bench.

The club has a two-year deal in place with Ty Wigginton, according to Fox Sports baseball reporter Ken Rosenthal's Twitter feed. The deal is worth in the $5-million range, according to the report.

It's all pending a physical, but it could be completed later today. Wigginton was in St. Louis today.
